i was thinking myself :
Klein Attitude 1990 team dolomite should be in the list,..it made a big impact, although it was also about marketing
1 ) Klein Attitude 1990 team dolomite
2 ) GT Zaskar
3 ) Fat Chance Yo Eddy
4 )
5 )
6 )
7 )
8 )
9 )
10)
for now it is not about the rank ,..but getting the top ten "clear" _________________

Agree with Rekiborter. Breezer No1 and Specialized Stumpjumper. No need for anymore.
GT Zaskar - wtf? |

There was an article in an US mag a couple of years ago that covered exactly that question.
Lets see whether I can still find it. _________________ CU @ OWMTBC 2010

Ok, here goes, UK based view with a bit of a twist
1 ) Orange clockwork ~ Workhorse Race frame
2 ) Klein Attitude ~ Alloy Exotica
3 ) Kona Kilaeua ~ Workhorse Race frame with better Geometry
4 ) Pace RC100 ~ British Icon, so many firsts
5 ) Bontrager Race Lite/Race ~ US Workhorse Race frame
6 ) Marin Alloy Frames ~ Mass market ligthweight frames
7 ) SE Racing "PK Ripper" ~ first mass produced alloy frame
8 ) GT Zaskar ~ Mass market "durable" lightweight frame
9 ) Cannondale M Series ~ Mass market alloy frame from day one
10) Raliegh M-Trax series ~ Bonded Ti Frames
Just my view and that does not cover 10 others I can think of |

In no particular order:
GT Zaskar
GT RTS
Merlin Mountain
Specialized Stumpy
Specialized M2
Orange Clockwork
Pace RC100
Trek OCLV
Actually... maybe these are the most "iconic" rather than important mtbs... _________________ '91 GT Karakorum - under construction
