could possibly be interested if someone wants to do the driving . routeplanner reckons its 5hours from me . would it involve camping ?

i think its a week before the viking challenge
 
If I go I'll do it all in one day, no overnight. I look ok for that weekend but can't guarantee it. Down in Eastbourne two weeks later so advice on the South Downs Way very welcome.

may be a tad late, depending on the queue at the diesel pumps! as the gague finally went into the red thismorning on my way to work, oops.

mDT , sorry we should have checked the site before setting out. Still, next week could be Ticknall which is close to home and a pub at the end of it.
 
Most enjoyable...I shall be up for Ticknall next week if I survive Wales!
