I agree with you, hell I hate the look of DH bikes, but I was just too much of a fan of square tubed Pace frames to let the RC500 slip by. And since I have built it up, I am quite liking it. Odly its proving to be my most difficult build, despite being one of the newest and in theory at least modern of my Retro machines.
My GT must be pretty much a love hate thing.
It is for me, as 97 was also the point I lost interest in mtb's. I was never into the DH scene bitd. But, I did go to watch in 96 and saw Steve Peat on one of these, it was so different, so elite and out of my league. His riding and the LTS-DH. I just feel a sense of achievement owning it now.
