Best way to preserve a decal on a bike??

Lots on applying new decals and removing them in this forum, I have a unique decal on one bike (about that maker winning a TdF) that I want to keep preserved. Are there any suggestions?? '70s era Raleigh.

Thank You.

I'll just go on a bit, I've had a chainstay protector, it was a clear plastic wrap around. If they made something like that for the seat post tube, I think that would be one thing that would work. Decals as we all know, can event get worn down washing the bike. I took a water jet spray to some old handgrips even once and they got at the plastic so I learned the hard way, not to use too much force on these bicycles.

i have some paint protection film that is invisible when fitted. let me know the size you need and i'll cut you a bit. should only be a quid or so.

Thank You. I got real busy from work and then from working on a bike too. Be better to be out cruising.

Thank you for your kindness, the short answer to my question could have been "don't ride it."

I'll keep up to date.
