I dont wanna seem like a git, but I think you should get a silver seatpost and stem, some retro cranks (shimano Lx/Xt'd do) and some amberwall tyres... Go a bit OEM like... (mind you, look at what I build...)

1 Respray in PC nice bright colour or Satin Black?
2 Lose some weight, better wheels, shorter caged mech, don't need a long with a 12-28, lighter stem.
3 Flat but widish swept bars
4 Better lighter tyres
5 replace all bolts with Titanium and aluminium
6 Decent light chainset needs a Race Face Turbine
7 Better brake set and levers

should put some of the older marzocchi forks on this and then it will be finished. them ones with the skinny legs
