1993 18" GT Xizang LE with Mag21s and Bullseye Cranks with some running gear from my original MTB (1988 Specialised Rockhopper Comp)

Frame weighs 3lbs 4oz Bike weighs about 23lb

Front to back:
Specialized Ground Control 26 x 1.95 (Grey on beige)
Mavic m261CD rim 36 hole
DT Straight stainless spokes
Hope Technology Cable Disc Brake on Red Hope hub With Blue Axel (brake clamp awaiting repair so also running my Deore canti's just now)
RockShox Mag21 (with the disc this makes the bike a bit front heavy - hairy in jumps as it nosedived a bit, but I'm fatter now so it should be ok)

good one russell - quite true.

LOL, I bought the diskbrake just before buying the GT frame (mid 93) it's one of the first cable Hopes, the disc itself weighs a ton but the braking is the best I have ever experienced, really progressive but a sharp tug will still do a good endo.

Besides when people see it they generally say "what the **** is that" - I like that sort of feed back!

I love the look of Ti GT's, Tony Cheeseman (of London fame!) rode one with a set of Mag Ti 21's and it looked the business!

Loving your bike mate, good to hear it's well used and abused! :D
 
Your right about the stem, the colour of it has changed my memories over the years :oops: .

Just posted pics of the Hope disc too, in the parts section. Needs lots of love.
