good idea. im gonna install it soon.
63 is indeed the largest model on the market.
My next purchase will definetely be a bit smaller.
it's just nicer to be compact. I saw a 1700E madone
5.5 (61 cm) 2008 which is an absolute amazing offer.
only if...

could you post a pic of your contraption?

I just searched that stem in google images, and I think it's actually longer than it looks in that photo. But I'm sure if you look around you could find a shorter one.

Okay, I'll take a picture tomorrow :)

It's in pieces at the moment since I snapped the rear mech off, I haven't ridden for a WEEK! :(

cool. thanks a lot.

after going out yesterday night
sleeping for 3 hours and bike 5
hours (150k) after that. It's kind of hectic
for a resting day(TdF)

Any idea about how you can fix it.
you'r gonna need whelding?

You rode 150k on a bike that doesn't fit you, on three hours sleep, after a night out? Hahaha, that's very impressive.

Well, thankfully, I didn't damage the frame or anything. I've just gotta fit a new derailleur and chain... still a pain though, as it's my only bike.

My Peloton Superlite...

I'm putting a new saddle on it. The red looks a little out of place, but it's more comfy that the horrible thing that was on it before.

brakeshifters .Thats kind of cool!
my bike is somewhere on the first page
of this forum. *parfumisme. I have sella
italia leather seat which is amazingly confortable.
you allready know what kind of rear-derailleur you are
getting? Shimano ultegra (shot cage?) is nice and nippy I think.
I always doubt about how much to invest in this bike. because
ofcouse you don't wanna buy crappy gear but you also don't wanna
overspend on a bike like this. The only thing I was really happy
with is when I got the look keo carbon pedals. they are worth every
penny. (i payed like 60E for them).

funny enough I once made an art/performance with my bike
so I guess then the investment becomes relative. haha

Well it's a Campy groupset, so I've brought a new derailleur from ebay that looks the same and was made around the same time. Fingers crossed.

I only paid £100 for the whole bike! Isn't that stupid? It's as fun to ride as my Dad's £2000 Specialized, haha. (Much harder going uphill though)

Parfumisme, I looked on the first page and found your post, but no picture is showing up. Could you post it again?

Correction: I DID bend the frame. The drop out and hanger were totally twisted...

A pair of pliers soon sorted that though. New derailleur is fitted and it seems to shift better than ever.

I'm off to give it a test run! Harrah! :)
