Does anyoene know anything about these forks, or if there is a web-site with any info on it ?

I've got a set, and am thinking of fitting them to one of my suitable frames...

Info and comments appreciated.

Cheers,

Adi

Fournales you mean...these things? I've got a friend with a set, but he pretty much sits in a puddle of his own drool and fondles them.

thats em, mine are just hanging in the Garage.... they will have there day soon :)

Yeah I saw some of these on fleabay a while back. Lots of ££££s. Similar principle to Girvins.

Which version are they? If it's a first generation they have bushings with grease ports on the pivots. These are high maintenance and apparently wear out quite quickly. Later generations had cartridge bearings at the pivot points.

I had a set on my Kili Ultra when I bought it but I sold them to get my RC35s. They were nice fork though but they just didn't suit the frame (a bit like Vectors on that front).

The one thing you have to be careful with is the size of the frame. There were 3 sizes of fork all meant for different headtube sizes. If you fit them incorrectly then they don't work too well.

If you can speak French then you'll be able to understand the Fournales site: http://www.fournales.fr/

There's a set going fairly cheap, relatively speaking, here: http://uk.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?auc ... mo=auction

Cheers Xesh, mine are the lter versions.... and in Perfect Condition :D

Humungously expensive when they were first brought out, and maybe since the trend was for more travel, rather than lighter forks, LOOK stopped production and more or less remaindered them- most of the ones that come up for sale are small= 137mm head tube+stack.......very little info available, LOOK have no archived manuals or owt to download.
I've got some odds and sods of info I could send ye, if ye PM me with yer eMail. If anyone does have a manual, I'd be awrfully grateful for a copy!

Light forx, 80mm travel, engineering porn! I have mine on my 857, matches the carbon swing arm just finely.

I'm in the process of respraying the top tube and puttin' on some new custom transfers- I'll put up pics when its done!
Adi- ye have an eMail <edit> Naw ye dinnae- kept bouncing!
I've uploaded the files to my album in the gallery here

all the info I have, not much, but helpful anyway, I hope.
