3 Cross (though I am running 2x on my main offroad front wheel, and have had no problems with it).

I don't believe the Pace hubs were designed to run radial lacing, not many normal spoke hubs were/are,I'm running radial lacing on a bontrager/chris king front wheel which bontrager think is fine but king doesn't agree with.
The problem is radial puts the same stresses as 3x on a much smaller area of hub flange and the weight savings are very small, when I had my other bontrager/king wheel rebuilt I went 3x.

Snowflake is just wrong for so many reasons if you ask me.

The only problem with radial is, as mentioned, the extra strain on the flanges from 'radial' tension rather than at a tangent but those flanges look plenty big enough and you don't need such a high spoke tension on the front anyway. Several pro's and con's here......

Seems in his experienced mind radial could be better than 3X..... :D

Thats the way I though this entire thread would go.
Radial is in my mind the best looking front wheel patern.
I was very suprised to see such a high percentage for 3x.
I know 3x is a bulletproof format, but with (almost) an inch of travel up front the radial should be under no real stress.

In case anyone was interested I built it Radial in the end.

I personally think it looks the mutts nuts, Though it did go against the vote.

Thank you for your comments and guidance. I'm sure I'll need it again on my next RC100 project.

Enjoy the pics.

D ;)
