Here's my non retro ride well think its non retro anyway but close to being retro. Its an oldie for a downhill bike anyway, bit of a old dinosaur where its all big and heavy parts without worrying about weight like the moder downhill bikes..

My non-classic ride... After having two full grown, almost Freeride-alike suspension bikes (Santa Cruz Heckler and Turner 5Spot) I went to follow my idea of 'less is more'... and less mms suspension really ment more fun to me. Both the Turner and the Heckler didnt last more than 11 months here. This one is here to stay. Almost a year down the trails; its good fun aside my full rigid (classic-) racers. Im not a DHer, not a FRer and seldom leave the ground for big air. This 120mm suspended XC/Enduro FSer is just enough to ride on the edge of my own possibilities. I test-rode this bike for Dirty-Pages.net, where these pictures were taken for. Loved it, and kept it.

It features a VPP system, designed by Neal Saiki, the same dude that re-designed the Outland patent VPP system for Intense and Santa Cruz. This was his approach to a more simple design, based upon a system of the past (URT design).

This is the most non-retro I have...

Survivor5actual800.jpg

..but it is already 1997. Got the bike free. 1st prize in competition by a Dutch car mag. I put some of my own parts on and they do make the bike look a tad more oldschool than it actually is.

hello all, just taken fotos of most of my bikes, got a few at home aswell.
the litespeed is the oldest, frame + wheels are mid 90s, but components are modern
the retro merlin is 1995
the newer merlin oreas
the cove is a rare stiffee singlespeed, sometimes called a tightee
my three specializeds are the demo8, the sworks stumpy, and the soon-to-be-finished-when-mojo-pull-their-finger-out sworks enduro
the kona a
my mk2 chopper, that was built to annoy the chopper enthusiasts at chopper shows, because it has all the wrong parts fitted.
and my kuwahara nova.
oh and the husqvarna te450, ex wynn hughes.
