i've got my hands on a nice new UN72 BB, BUT rather than being 113-68 it is 115-68 (wrong ordering :oops: , already got it out of the packet and they don't have a 113 so can't send it back) - so will 1mm more axle on the driveside really make any difference with 8spd? i Know it's not ideal and i can't run extremes of gears (not that i should anyway)

someone please tell me it's okay?!
 
In a word. No. if 1mm makes an apreciable difference I'd be surprised. 5mm yeah probably, 1mm unlikely. Especially if it is all Shimano.
 
ta Stick Legs, thought that was the case, just wanted some confirmation before fitting!

also cheers for the point in the direction of SJS Cycles, got some nice chainrings as well as red bolts and swish Syncros brake cable hanger off them :D
 
yup, some if deffo pricey, but there are some bargains - like their headset press and bike workshop stand and they've got a quite good range of bits'n'bobs, like the syncros cable hanger £12 is expensive, but its nice has a brass noodle and says syncros!
