Just bought an old RC200 F4, want to put rigid forks on the beast but struggling to find any RC31's with a steerer longer than 190mm, whats the shortest I can get away with ?

Any tips on removing a little oxidization.....metal cruddy bit !!

Welcome :)
Please find your serial number for this >> http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20895

RC31's are common around here, RC30's less so (but would look much better on that ;) ), they do crop up though. Also, steerers can be changed for longer/shorter.

Gday and welcome to the Pace owners club ;)

I'd suggest a bit of elbow grease and polish would hellp with the cruddy parts of the frame.

Justbackdated may be able to help with your forks, as he's an ex Pace employee with a treasure trove of goodies stacked away, you'll find him under the memberlist.

As Neill said, keep your eyes peeled on the for sale thread and ebay as RC30's RC31's pop up from time to time...agree that a set of RC30's would look better on your bike

Cheers

Rich
