1989 Dawes Sterling - some questions

Hi everyone. I've just aquired the above bike but it has been converted to flat bars. Does anyone know what drops and levers were on it originally, or even better, has anyone got any suitable items?
Any help much appreciated as the rest of the bike appears to be original and is in pretty good condition so I would prefer to keep it that way.

I've got an oldish Sterling, but I'm not sure of the exact year, so I may be able to help if I can get some idea of the age of my bike. Do you have any pics of your bike to see if it's of a similar age to mine?

I've some Dawes randonneur Drops (early 90's I guess) which you can have for postage.
