:D gazz the wheels will keep till the next meet. Unless of course your wanting them first?

Rats, I've done it again and bought another early 90's mtb frame

Provided it wings its way safely through the post I now own a Trek 8500 Easton Alloy 20" frame in Black with white fleks. A wee bit battered, so I'm hoping its not yet another MacRetro needing welded special. I'll try and post a pic using either of the methods kaiser and Gaz instructed me in, but Flikr is not allowed on my work PC so it'll have to wait until later.

Thus Kaiser, I no longer need the frame you have but I think I have something you may want, I'll PM you.

This site is an addiction as bad as hard drugs

Cheers

I saw this as it came up and wondered if it was the same one?

Thats the frame, I do not think I can be bothered stripping it and the shiny obsession is not one I share.

If I was to strip the paint, what method do you guys use ?

I'll probably apply a little black enamel to the chipped bits and give it a wax polish instead of a strip down to the bare alloy.

I hope there are no cracks and I hope the dead frame syndrome ie no spring, is not apparent.

Other than that I'll get some rigid forks and SS it up :D

Cheers Guys

Also the itinerary for Dalby has now been posted on the site.

nitromores and lots of it- then brillo then brasso then rub a dub dub.

The bike would look cool- go on you know you want to ;)

Should make a nice lightweight racer, very nice.
