The bike is a Roland North Star cruiser. There's a guy here in Houston who, to the best of my knowledge, buys a bunch of frames and parts in Taiwan, builds them up into bikes and distributes them through a local retailer. It's set up and intended for 29" wheels. It was spec'd pretty low end, but the frame and fork are really nice. The welds are beautiful. So I figured I might as well have a little fun and build it up right - or at least within reason given I'm a little poor at the moment. I ended up changing pretty much every part on the bike - and this is the end result.

Thats really realy nice, like that a lot

Nice  , was thinking about building something similar myself, love the colour, not sure about the bars though, think i'd try a pair of high rise motorcycle Renthals if it was mine.

Thanks! I've seen the Kona in pics but not in person, so I cannot make an accurate comparison. The frame is aluminum...the fork is steel. It only came in two sizes I believe - 17 and 19 inch. This is the larger of the two.

that looks awesome. i bet its really comfortable to ride too

love the frame forks colour wheels pretty much everything

however could not live with the bmx bars sorry
