Retrobike Rider
First off, thanks to Retrobike for the inspiration to restore my 1991 Mantis XCR EC to its former glory. Not that it's in bad shape for an 18-year-old bike. Bought from Cambria Bicycle Outfitters CA, lived in Crested Butte CO and North Vancouver BC, this is now my daily London commute. But I want it back to original condition and spec - I have the original receipt to help but I have a few Q's for anyone who can offer advice.

1) Any recommendations on where to go for a respray in London/South East?

2) Rear chrome triangle is bolted and glued, I think. What should I do about this for a respray?

3) I seem to remember the BB is hammered in place and not easily removed. Think I had it done once but never needed it since. Again any advice for the respray?

4) Decals - where to get em?

Any other advice/encouragement most welcome. Thanks

There's a few Mantis owners on here who I'm sure will help, along with a decal guru (Gil_M) :)

Welcome aboard, nice ride ;)

That's gonna look great with a bit of work!

What's this all about on the receipt?

"HOME OF DOCTOR DEATH, THE MAD KAYAKING MACHINE"

??

Welcome,
I wish I had a pro-floater or an XCR-ec hiding at the back of the garage.

Keep it original :
