I've finished cannibalising my Ma's old bed now, and it looks like a sofa!! :D

Whadya reckon for a girly job of diy then?!?!

I'm really chuffed with the result!! (And my bf will be happy too, he's over 6' and so this will actually fit him now!! Lol!!)

Now all I need to do is work out how to make the "arms" out of the left-over bits of wood ... I may need a new brain by tomorrow night!!

Happy DIY weekend!! :D

Best Wishes, Lx :?

Woohoo!! I've finished my sofa at last!! :D

Now all I need to do is to clean up the mess .... I think that may take longer than making the bed in the first place!!

And then I get to sit down with a lovely glass of wine and collapse in front of the telly!!

Hope you get all your furniture finished Gibbleking, looks like one hell of a job!! Good luck!

Best wishes chaps,

Lonnwy x

Get yourself one of these cheap B&Q folding workbenches[about £10]
It makes life so much easier and will go loads to preventing cut fingys

You need to put some sides on it,a box pinned on each side, coming up to the level of the back cushion overhangs, will tie it in nicely

Hey Dyna, I was using one of my little coffee tables as a saw bench, and my left foot as the clamp to hold it steady ... worked a treat!! You won't find any cut fingys here!! :D

And, no, I don't need boxes on the side to hold the back cushions in ... I've already beaten you to that thought .... and that's what the upright bits of wood at the back are for!! And they work brilliantly!!
