Radio 1's newsbeat after the Nitrus/ modding car brigade

Kill 'em all. Let God sort 'em out. I'm just glad I don't feel 'inadequate' in certain anatomical areas and have to make up by putting a stupid exhaust on a French shopping trolley.

no its the downward spiral of society

yoofs need to justify their existence to everybody else ( after all you are a nobody unless your on telly ) so they feel the need to get noticed anyway they can , be it making as much noise as they can going through town or entering big brother or fame x factory on ice

What a load of scare mongering bullshit

I like the way the reporter tried to navigate the mechanics statment about turbos
And it cost a bloody fortune to fit and set up.
Listening to the AA ,youd think they are giving them away free when you pass your driving test

british media is strange.

i lived in toulouse for two years and came out to dresden last month for a 6 month stint.

two well developed european country's but give these people anything motorised and they are on a suicide mission. just absolute bonkers.

I'm not going to get into 'how they drive so well on the autobahn' spend some time inner city, if it wasnt so dangerous it would be absolutly hilarious.

At the end of the day, for all the crap drivers and idiot selfish morons (be it 'boy racer' or 'out of my way exec') we still have some of the safest roads in the world. Surly the safest when you account for population density per sq mile of tarmac.

by the way the flavour of the month here are the 'banditos' a gang of bikes with chopped hogs farting around town ignoring all traffic rules, no boy racers as such but at least you can stick your fingers up at a boy racer without a serious fear of reprisal

p.s. Iwasgoodonce

i have had a few french hot hatches (with a loud exhaust) and currently a fiesta rs turbo. just because you own these cars doesnt mean your going to rev the nuts off it outside a spar shop!

p.p.s

I think the differing views on car culture and modyfing must be geographical. ok if you live in a big inner city there must be an abundance of twats in knackered death traps causing a nusiance. for me growing up in north wales there werent many, yes there are plenty of modified cars, the occasional idiot, but we also have all the night and road rallys, car shows such as the VW show in bodelwyddan and plety of fun runs / days out for car clubs which represents the good side of car enthusiasts and hobby'ers

Sitting in St,Neots Market Sq, I got well respec' from da boyz when a wus like in ma car.

Which happened to be an Escort RS1600i - a proper factory modified escort. It would have beat the living shit out of anything that came near it. All the Corsas and other crap went very quiet as my Janspeed 4 branch manifold & exhaust reverbarated off the buildings with a light dap of the accelerator pedal....

I also had a faster than average sport compact back in the day: http://www.gonzonx.com/articles/rtrt1.html. It ate Civics for lunch, and ran about even with VR6 GTI's. Came close against a Mustang LX 5.0 and a Volvo S80 T6.

It's so true, British do like to moan, even though w have the safest roads in the world! And i can vouch for the Spanish being just as looney.

Got any pic if these "banditos" :?

I got a noisy exhast on my Pug, not particulary fond of the loudness, but high compression engine, freeflow exhaust (8-2-1)= noise and most certainly have the performance to back up the noise (and engine note) at 200+bhp/ton
