Already posted this but after some ooming and ah-ing, I finally got my act together after deciding that it's not really a rider anymore - and changed a few parts around on it. I think it's better.

Gone is the 9-speed "upgrade" with composite Quarz Mech and Plasma shifter. Back is the wavey-extreme 8 speed shifter and shiny alloy Quarz rear mech.
Gone are the X-Lite Ti-bars and back are the Renthal Sub 130s.
Gone is the 9 speed M953 cassette and back is the 8 speed M950 cassette.
1.95 Wildgripper Lite S replaces the 2.1 Wildgripper Lite.
For the final touch I refitted the 20mm springs making the fork back to original 100mm travel spec - this was mostly as I was afraid of losing them.

Apart from HG93chain, M900 BB and M950 cassette, it's an all-euro and mucho UK spec.

Few more closeups this time too. Might enter it as BOM one day.

UPDATED 6th April
M900 BB exchanged to Royce
Non-period ITM headset exchanged to NOS Rond Headset

UPDATED 29th June
Middleburn RS3 replaced with another one with "correct" arms on both sides, blue spider and non-slickshift/Hardcote chainrings. Needed chainset off this for the Pace I'm building. Not keen on blue ano but it "goes" with this bike while it wouldn't on the Pace.

Good solid kit that works and will be a pleasure to ride. :D

Will be?

It has been.

95% of the kit on this frame was fitted and raced over the 3 years after I moved to Denmark in 94. I've had the frame since late 92. Stem and seatpost are all that's left from the original M732 build. Due to a quirky license rule in this country, it's raced against 2 reigning world champions (Djernis and Rasmussen)and done serious serious mileage since I got the frame in 93. The kit on it at the moment (bar forks - upgraded in 98 from MXCDs and headset fitted last year) was the last kit I raced regularly.

Come to think of it, it's also been raced XC against Peaty while he was still unknown.

It's so well used that it's had 2 main tubes changed (top tube (got changed to a 531 tandem tube - I used to ride down Jacobs Ladder with the original Project 2s and 1.5 HardPacks pumped to 80 psi) and seat tube - rusted from the inside) over 2 seperate repairs.

I think we should have an owned from new BOTM- what do you reckon chaps?

Lovely Yates BTW- All euro is something I like the idea of

Made a few more changes

NOS Rond Headset from 1997
Royce BB (been after one of these for yonks)

Just need to change the cassette and chain back to Sachs (still got them in a drawer if the truth be told) and we're 100% period Euro spec.... But it's a downgrade so I can't bring myself to do it.....
