Unless it's hanging on just the right bike purple ano is pretty hard to look at.

I have to give this one a thumbs-down.

True true.. I really have to be careful with my latest purchase that I don't end up riding a Raspberry Blamanche

Going Silver & Black with a bit o' Blue on the component selection..

Purple anodised stuff WAS cool and therefore, in a retro sense, IS cool.

I had these:

(not the most comfortable skewers for cold fingers)

And I had/still have a purple Hope hub 'snowflake-laced' to a purple Ambrosio rim, purple cantis, purple bottle cage, even purple cable oilers!

Like someone said earlier in this thread, it was the cheap (odd shades and a bad finish) stuff which looked naff...

I have to admit that FAT is looking pretty tasty. :D

purple

I always thought that purple could be okay, but there were far nicer colours - green ringle stems or bullseye hubs anyone?

nice - I've got a red one coming soon thanks to Messiah
I always regretted getting my Hope hubs in sliver rather than green

Remember the 1993 and 1994 GT Zaskars were available in anodised colors?

Well...

My mate got the purple one with everything blue anodised... then another mate got the blue one with full Ringle Purple...
Another friend had the black one with red Hope bits...

GT Zaskar

oooh, the anodized GTs, I remember a MBUK article tell you how to use nitromors (or was it oven cleaner) to strip the anodising off....

(all very random but i thought i'd share that with you all  )
