The outer cable goes directly into the side of the first canti and the inner cable is held in place in the 2nd canti via a grub screw, thus can use the brake cable 'pointing' either way.
The RH black one looks very similar to the Control Tech cantis - is there a link somewhere between the two companies that I should be ashamed of not knowing...?
