Damn, done it again, and I haven't even got the Marin re-assembled yet!

So, I have to go to London soon and pick this up:

Ad said Deore XT all round, so here's hoping...

Anyone know anything about them?

:)

Dunno but I know that beer/ebay feeling only too well

Chris.

I got full Subbuteo kit including fencing to go round the pitch and groups of spectators

Now what the heck will we do with that

Beer + ebay = a vintage tractor (yep a gert big un)
Beer + ebay = lots of sthil petrol powered toys
Beer x ebay = big headache from GF (who dosnt like my stuff)

The colour and forks suggest it might be a Dawes "The Edge" from about 1990.
The Backtrack and ATB labels I reckon are add ons.

A good result for £25, wish I did'nt hesitate.

I might be interested in the forks if they are 1"

The ATB and Backtrack labels are definitely add-ons - there's one covering the Dawes emblem on the head tube...

Components are mostly XT (mechs, brakes, shifters, headset) with DX MT60 cranks and Biopace rings. Looks like 1 1/8" headset but I'm not splitting it! ;)

Downsides are that the braking surfaces on the rims look very worn, everything is over-oiled and gunked up, and the bars have been cut down to around 19"!

Am going to get the Marin up and running before I start on this, but hopefully it won't take me a year to finish this one...
