Pomfrit cakes. But then I do work just round the corner from the Haribo factory in Ponte. You can always identify what they're making from the smell, but the days they're boiling liquorice the smell is amazing.

The answer is licorice, the hard stuff , bassetti as it says on the box, or it could be maynards sport mixture. But liqourice wins however you spell or pronounce it.
