Picked up a very clean and original MSR CR-1 - many thanks Dave and Chris in Cumbria (for not riding it!) - an interesting composite framed (alu front triangle, steel lugs into steel rear stays) beauty that screams both late 80's/early 90s and 'Alpinestars' - funny that!

Looking to discover more about the apparent MSR begot Alpinestars story so feel free to add your tuppenceworth...

PS. The ads are both from MBUK - the MSR in September 89, the AS April 1990 BTW...

that looks a damn sight better condition than my MS racing... tho mines down quite a few thousand more miles by the looks of it... :LOL:

check out the distributed address on that advert... there used to be loads of them at the welsh series racing.
 
Yep, I love them. A common (in a positive way) race bike. I had the deal done on that subject to the size...too big for me tho.

Good Mike Kloser repro action shots in the making...
