1988 Saracen Kili...Started

Wow! a Killi flyer I never thought I'd see one of these again.

I had one of these as my first good bike (bought from Bike in Bristol).

Fillet braised Tange Prestige frame with a black shimano Deore group set throughout and black own brand stem/bars and seat post (the only silver parts on that bike were the spokes!).

SUperb job, only just read you painted it yourself , top work with the colour too, pink seems to be so hit and miss and miss in a big way. This is another saracen that seems to be changing my mind over the brand, was only really exposed to the piles of crap.

God I wanted this bike in March '88 when I bought my same model year Trekker in aquarius blue.

Think this was a 1988 bike as they appeared in late 1987/ early 1988. And the 1989 range was advertised at Evans with the Trekker being pea green and the u brake being mounted on the seat stays...

anyway...lovely lovely bike.

Heathy's got one too. NOS pretty much like yours.

Quite jealous of you both.

I remember these, they were great...someone around here (Bedford) had one....TiFatMan might also remember the guy who rode it.

The bike has already been used for the Cannock ride and I was very pleased.

i've got a original saracen fork from a 91 crosstrax knocking about, if its any use to you? tyre clearances are tight though..
