GAZELLE dedicated website

bit of a nostalgia trip for me.

hated the butterfly brake bridge - looked like a halfords special bridge.

Remember when the paragon RT used them in the 80's. totally dominated the british road race scene. Loved that solid blue paint scheme. Was also impressed that they were winning everything on 531 comp when 753 was the "must have".

does anyone know if Sid & martin are still importing them through their rotherham shop? In fact, is that shop still going?

I do have a older AA which has the butterfly bridge as well as the x bridge between the stays. Have to come up with pics.

In this collection a nice Champion Mondial present --->

many piccies

Looks like a Champion Modial AA Super to me. With indented seattube to allow a very short criterium style geometry. I think 1983 is very early for that font on the down tube. I've seen later ones with the older font. Refinished at some point or a couple of years younger?

Jan's site got the 1984 Gazelle catalogue added. A great addition.

...not CM's, but also from the Dieren shop >>
