Its probably going to ride like a dog..........

Either way, along with my RTS, Zaskar and Pennine, its a keeper.

There is no probably about it - they rode terrible in my experience but I agree they look cool and if you like it and it means something to you then go for it. Give it some love, look forward to seeing it catalogue spec.

Your Trek 9000 vs my DBR Dual Response

Please paint it black with a purple swing arm!

I think the black and purple one was the top drawer XTR bike, 9500 i think, there was also a 9200.

There was also a black and red one and i think a white mainframe/black swing arm one, also later ones had a carbon swing arm.

Heres my old one, dont know what this as it was painted all black when i got it.

awfull bike to ride .

I was following a friend who was riding one , and the rear wheel was moving more sideways than up and down .

Spent a couple of hours today on the project.

Wiped the inital grime off with some baby wipes, then removed all the old stickers with a hair dryer and white spirits. 2 washes with Muc-Off followed, then 2 sessions with polish

I think its ready to be built now ;)

It needs something other than a GT flipflop stem...

;)

Thats only there to hold the forks in ;)

I think an ATAC or Syncros is in order

Forks cleaned up, bar and stem fitted.
