Agreed, the levers are the most dated part of this groupset but personally I'd have applied the 'all or nothing' rule.

great job Kaiser the bike looks ace, love the colour, the old school americana feel and the xt- don't like u-brakes but your rear end looks very tidy without the canti's it has to be said.
Sell me the rolls when you get bored with it, and I am most prob wrong but the front tyre looks like it would be better with the tread reversed no?
