Ok The almega is just about done to 'off the peg' level. any suggestions for upgrades?

That looks amazing! Only thing I would suggest is ditching the front V brake.
I've got a set of NOS DX canties that I bought 'just in case'. May be persuaded to part with them for such a nice (and local!) Alpinestars

Thanks but i have the cantis, its the stem i need to change for one with a cable router as the angle at the moment is too tight for the cable to route into the headset spacer needed for the cantis. Wanted to get it posted in time for estay BOTM though! On the lookout for a Syncros or ATac 1 1/4.
