i used to own a bell razor reebok pump helmet(rrp 99 squid) and she was painted in water proof acrylics lying down in a field ...it was one of the best paint jobs ive ever done.....sadly i broke the lid on a ride one day and she is no more.......have to say i may have a go at that suggestion though.....
