Walt Works Forks

Been browsing the net for fork options for my Bontrager and found the Walt Works website....quite like the look of their segmented crown style forks....does anyone have any experience with these?

I know Walt, or knew him when we raced against each other in College. He's a good guy, and everyone I've spoken to raves about his frames. He's building one for next season with the Action-tec fork.

i have one on my bonty...

so i guess i ought to contribute ;-)

i got Walt to build a threadless steel fork, using his segmented style with a reduced offset crown ala the old Bontrager correction. I think as part of doing this Walt angled the crown segments forward and from the side the legs almost look to be sloping backwards (they're not), I have to admit I find it looks a little weird, but it rides great!

Walt will do a terrific job...

He builds his forks using .045 steel with a crown forward design rather than using the more difficult compound miter of the Fat era.

He will take his time to insure you get what you want and will stand behind his product...give him a call.

cheers,

Love the forks 95bonty, that would be exactly the sort I'd need!
