Rapid Rise?

They are sprung the opposite way, so the lowest gear is the position they rest in.
Good for people that can't get to grips with their shifters going one way on the left, and the opposite way on the right.
 
Yes, and it'd make more sense, once you get used to it.
But if you want to use one with indexed thumbies, you'd have to have an adjuster on the cable stop on the downtube, as some don't have adjusters on the mech itself.
 
Mine don't, which is the reason why I have one gathering dust in a box, and bought a nice Deore mech from Maxtherotti last week... :oops:
 
IMHO i thought that having your main spring under constant tension would cause it to wear out quicker,so i avoided that type
Dont know if its true but it seems so to me :?
