EBAY - keep you mouth shut

id see the £500 ( since when were we in the fookin euro anyway  ) item , note that i lack £500 and message the seller saying it is typically worth more unless i knew someone specifically wanted it

thats not to say if i didnt have the £500 spare id get it , give it a fondle ( bicycle collectors can usually be called people who just want to touch a certain part  ) then sell it on for £600 . i wouldnt try and squeeze every penny out of it just a kinda holding fee

i was at newark autojumble with a mate years ago , he shot off as he had spotted a mk1 escort 6 clock dash with the 140mph 8k clocks and at £15 was his . he offered it to me but i declined , i checked it worked on my car but i had no need for it but when a mate with a mexico mentioned he wanted one it was offered at £60 , which is x4 the bought price but also half the going rate they were changing hands for at the time . a few years on they are worth considerably more than £120

greenZ, I havent read every post in this 7page rant, so its likely i've missed it. personally i think you'll have a much greater chance of finding the part you want by starting a wanted ad & linking that ad to your signature. I'd hazard a guess it'd be cheaper than ebay too ;)
even if people dont have 1 personally they might know of such a part advertised elsewhere & PM you with a link.

No need to get your coat just yet GreenZ. ou might have dificulty on the Danish forum anyway, unless you can read and write Danish.

And as a disclaimer for the one or two Danes on here (one who is on the other forum and has excellent taste in bikes...yes you Mikkel), many are cool people who are passionate about bikes and biking, but as the mtb scene has exploded here in the last couple of years, the site is flooded with this new prevalent attitude from newbies who want the "best" and "newest" for nothing and complain publicly if a shop doesn't give them a discount on a new (low-middle range) box bike (in a shop they have never been in before, and don't anticipate that they will become a regular customer.)

I think the real question here that has been completely overlooked is why on earth did someone (John) part with good money for Cycling Weekly?

To be fair he did try to haggle for it, and maybe he's run out of toilet paper?

i bought my mavic/shimano wheels for £38 delivered, ebay.

manitou forks for £30 delivered, ebay.

greenz, you probably knew about ebay before you knew about retrobike, so what if you had never found retrobike? what if there are another 200 sites like ebay selling things like bullseye cranks for 20p?, what if my girlfriend is sleeping with my fridge?, what if i walk out the door in the morning and i fall into a big bowl of cornflakes and drown?, what if my dog gets sick on my nan? :?

i think what i am trying to say is chill out man! plenty more bike parts out there for everyone! :D

ive slept with your fridge , its nothing you need to worry about

if you suspect she is going with the kettle then you need to worry , that sucker can keep on the boil for ages

hmm, kettle......ha ha just gone and filled the kettle with bbq sauce and put it on the boil.

not smelling so sweet now are you bitch! :D

sorry, seriously i think i need sleep now, i am losing my mind!
