I just bought a rear disc brake, a Hope Mini, the seller stated it's a caliper number 3 - what does this mean? I notice on MTBR reviews that they come in number 3 and number 5 - might I be getting something that doesn't fit?
And if I have a 155mm rear rotor will the number 3 fit? I already have the rotor you see. The rotor that comes with the brake is 6 bolt and mine is 5 so incompatible from that point of view. I just hope the caliper will work with 155!
It'd work from the point of view that the pads will grab a bit of the rotor but it won't be very much. I guess it depends how much you want your brakes to work :shock:
