Ahead to Quill adapters

My Cats Wiskas has a 1" threaded steerer and the Control Tech stem I have is 135mm and feels a little long.

I'm struggling to find any 120mm zero-10deg rise stem to fit.

I could fit my Manitou 1-1/8" if I get an adapter - what are the thoughts on these adapters?

This one looks a bit "Cheap" - Which ones can be reccomended?

Cheers,

The nicest I know is the Modolo Pilot. I have it fitted on my Verlicchi. It actually looks pretty good.

Why does it need to come above the top of the stem? Is there some kind of lock bolt that has to fit over the top? If you're not using a threadless headset then there's no need for a top cap, the stem just clamps to the threadless adapter and the adpater is held in place with the quill bolt.

If the problem is that the "thick" bit is too tall, can you use some spacers to keep the top of it below the top of the stem ?

your lbs should have one for about £8 try it, like it or leave it
dose open a whole world of stem lovelyness tho.
