Nice bike that.

I really like the old Marins. Happy memories of mates riding them.

I for one would love one.

(They are pretty rare to find these days too - compared with konas)

:D

was about 38p mate with full dx groupset, mavic 231 and no rust anywhere!!!

STI's are happy with canti's. Calipers and canti's having a similar pull ratio. It's V's taht are less happy. That said XTR V's on KleinChris's cross bike seem to work pretty well to be honest.

I'm running RSX STI's with Deore V-Brakes, they work fine. Got to set them quite close to the rim, and they are a little spongy, but loads of power.

Thread Hi-Jack; Bike Hoarder's drop handlebar'd beast revealed soon!

all finished now - didnt like the way it rode with drops so put the original stuff back on!!

Good call with flat bars back on. Very nice. There are no rpizes for drops off road. You just have less control and go slower. Best left to the Belgians IMO.

Sorry if you are a belgie (prince harry speak) I have no idea if you are a nation of bikers who have less control and go slower but I did laugh alot at the above. Mind you maybe I have some belg in me....... :?:
