FUQUAY MTB - What is it worth?!

FUQUAY MOUNTAIN BIKE

Circa 1996.

Columbus Altec tubing
18" Frame.
Metallic Orange - as new after recoating (Had a new chainstay (2001ish) and not been used much since!)

Marzocchi Bomber fork

Some XT and XTR components.

I've been made an offer of £200 for the frame and forks - do you experts think this is this a fair offer? I've not seen any of these sell to have any idea what it is worth?!

Thanks in advance.

With the greatest of respect to your frame...I'm very underwhelmed if thats a proper Fuquay....not an expert but the welds look clumsy and is it an Ally?
Sorry. I'm not helping, but very interested in this frames history.

It's definitely a genuine Fuquay! I knew Greg when he was in this country at the time he built it. I know it's history; it was built for the Elmy Cycles race team in Ipswich.
I get the feeling that alloy bikes are not so popular here?!

lots of Al lover on here ;)

Please help with a wheel valuation, this will be up for sale when I have an idea of price.

Mavic 117 sup cd ceramic rim has pitting but is still in good condition IMHO. on a red Middleburn hub, Nice and light and looks cool.

Manitou FS - Handyman's Special - Whats its worth

I have a 1993 Manitou FS that I would like to know its worth. The frame has a crack in the chainstay which I read that "cracking" was a hallmark of its design. The shocks on both ends needs bumpers and the components are nothing to write to home about. Wheelset needs to be replace. For the curious, I'll list the components:

Frame: Manitou FS - date of completion: Feb 5, 1993, #FS0259
Fork: Manitou 3
Headset: Answer no-name
Stem and Handlebars: Syncos/Hyperlite
Shifters: Sachs 8-speed
Brakes/levers: XT V-brakes/Avid Ultimate levers (converted to V-brake design - nicest brake levers made IMHO)
Seat: Bontrager wingless design (most uncomfortable seat ever!)
Seatpost: Answer no-name (has a crack in it).
Wheelset: I won't bother - they're really worn out!
Cassette: XTR 8 speed- 1997 version (titanium and equally worn)
Rear/Front Derailler: XTR/XTR - 1995 version
Cranks: Raceface IP (Circa 1995)

Not sure of the value of the frame... difficult with the crack...but they are highly saught. (I sold a manitou HT...badly cracked for only £7.50...the chap the got £50 for it on ebay...but the FS model is more desireable)

The rear mech if its tidy should fetch £30 ish the cranks are quite tastey and I hav seen them fetch upto £100 ish.

Ritchey Megabite 2.1

Pair of skinwalls, non-folding wire beads. Been hanging around for years in the garage. Treads are good, one more so than the other. Visible wear down the middle of tread on one. Seems like light brake rub on the one with better tread. But seems superficial, doesn't seem to have worn through wall too much, if at all. Maybe it's just a marking and can be removed. Both tires could use a good cleaning.

I have no use for these as i dislike the look of skin walls, so I thought I'd offer up to you lot of great helpful chaps here! Just looking to determine a reasonable return value to fund my continual addiction! ;)
