great memories here!!!

Heh- New ZX Spectrum with a whole 48k of RAM.......... :p Had the one with the rubber keys- spent hours trying to get software uploaded from cassette tapes...........

I know ... Girlfriends nipper has loads of "new" star wars for Christmas .... No where near the same as what we had!! :D

And we had the rubber 16k Specy !!! wooo hooo :LOL:
 
I used to have Atari 65XE with cassettes as well. Beeep, beeep, beeeeeep, beeep, beeep, ... 20 minutes...., beeep, beeeeeeep, beeep, .... 30 minutes....., beee - load error! :LOL:
 
I've still got my Spectrum 48k + boxed in my attic. Got a load of software too :cool:
Last time I tried it, it still worked :D
 
you can emulators for free on the web these days - I was playing 'Elite' for the BBC B a few months ago on my PC :cool:
 
I was brought up on commodores - Vic 20, C64 and then the mighty Amiga 500, which was a godsend after the tape loading first two!!! Weird to think that my bog standard mobile phone has a few hundred times more memory than it!!! And it cost my parents £400!!!
