Just needs that old seat post re-anodizing to finish it off !! :D :D

 yeah it does let it down tbh, i've been on the hunt 4 a NOS or good secondhand XT seatpost 4 a while now!

Those original welded forks are just the nuts aren't they :) I really miss my team colours !! Had the first one nicked and I sold the second cos I was desperate to buy my first car !! (Mk1 escort 1300 Sport)

Difficult choice ? ! ?

It's a 1990 isn't it ?
It's the brother of mine !

It's still a pleasure to see team america Klein…
Nothing to write. It's only beautifull…

Spot on, can't beat a classic.

Reckon amber walls tyres would finish it of perfectly too

yup, those welded crown forks were only built for a limited time. they're some of my fave rigid forks ever despite their cracking problem.
nice bike in 1 of the nicest, most iconic klein colours :)
not sure any modern day DHers would believe it took 2nd place in the DH worlds Durango juniors in 1990 :D

I would believe that bikes capable of most things !! I love em !! And im gonna stick a photo of my first one up on here later .... In the loft I go a hunting !!

Found it !!! Sorry its such a crap pic !! Had to take a photo of a photo... :(

This was my first one which was all good practice !! I was only 14 so you gotta let me off :)

Notice my school days were mainly taken up by being in the CDT lab, drilling milling, polishing etc !! Im amazed that I never drilled holes in the frame at the rate I was going !! Still, Nothing ever snapped, bent etc regardless of all the holes drilled... Weighed paractically nowt that bike !Sigh...... :?

nice pic, i read in your other thread you mentioning about Findon Village Cycles, funnily enough thats the place i saw my first Klein, they used have a green/black Rascal frameset hanging up in their for ages, i'm sure it was £800 at the time, the closest i ever got to a Klein then was the 91' brochure they gave me!

as mentioned a few times now, early forks are way cooler then the later rounded versions :D

Totally agree Sneaker .... I do still like the rounded but there's something so industrial about the welded forks... Never had any probs with mine from damage or cracking and to say I used it lightly would be an understatement !!

Being local you will prob know charging down the forest to the bottom of Chanctonbury with 6ft drop jumps and log steps which if you hit em fast enough you clear the lot at around 15ft in length !! God I miss those days ! Never snapped the forks either !!

Got the bottle still as I prove to myself every so often, just aint got the fitness or the same balance !!! I dont know if you remember but in Worthing they used to have a shop in town called Extreme Sports. I used to ride for their Extreme Team and between myself and best bud we were the top boys !! You know how as you get older you sometimes look back and sigh............. :( :( Ha ha .... My wife's laughing at me !!!
