Couple of English laws
Repealed in the '80's -all taxi's must carry a bale of hay in the boot[for the horse]

Bikes with 20" wheels can legally cycle on the pavement ,something to to with bed chairs[early wheelchairs]

[I think it was James 1st ]Decreed all men and boys to practice with the longbow once a fortnight[i think this still stands]

The longbow law goes back far earlier - well before Agincourt in 1415.

In Oshkosh, WI it's a against the law to ride a bike without a bell....nobody does though, Law goes back to the early 1900's.

this is the same for citizens of chester if you find a welshman within the city after midnight, also all men by law may take wednesday afternoon off work to go to their local green and practice with their bow
