Well there are definitely Konas which have been built in the US, but whether you class these as Konas or just Kona badged frames is open to debate.

eg Misser Replica is a Turner Afterburner with Kona stickers and Hots, Hei Heis etc were made by others for Kona.

hmm, hand built in Taiwan or Hand built in USA. Both hand built?

I know what you mean, but just thinking about it now, not sure what I mean :?

Is it more of being handcrafted, or built by the company rather than a supplier? But the Hots etc not built by Kona directly, but handbuilt for them?

What I am trying to say here is, when is a frame classed as handbuilt :?:

a frame is handbuilt when all the welds are done by hand in a jig and checked by eye, not welded by robot.
