Cannondale M500

hi i've just brought this bike off ebay for 140 quid (cue everyone telling me how ive been ripped off ?

)

anyway i hope to do it up, used to be really into mountain biking in the mid nineties untill i discovered beer, but wanna get back into it now im gettin on a bit !

was just wondering if anyone could confirm which year model it is ? i think its 96 but am not too sure

more pics to follow when ive done some work on it hopefully

so what you think about the price then ? i thought its quite a good deal but im not too sure or prices anymore !

I bought a 93 M400 for £65 about 6 months ago (then found this place looking for info. Have since bought another 3 bikes :shock: so be warned! ) but its REALLY tatty.
Has got a good mix of XT/DX on it tho so it really depends how yours is kitted out.
Looks a lot nicer than mine tho...

Mines currenty residing in Germany so I can use it when I'm out there.

Looks good to me buddy, just get rid of that shovel and the sofa

would say the price is fair too, should be a nice light usable bike. Give us a parts rundown too looks like some upgrades.

yeh should arrive friday all being well, just looking at the photos of your cannondale, very nice ! what pedals are those ? i want some like that for mine, i vaguely remember some called piranha's or something think they were made by odyssey ?

/edit ok i read the thread sharkbites, i was nearly there with pirhanas !

would my dale have 1/2 inch threaded axles you think ?

nah should be 9/16" and they're for sale too

nah should be 9/16" and they're for sale too

yours are ? shame ! im after blue or black for mine

Got mine NOS from ebay, keep an eye out. 1/2" is generally older BMX cranks (I think)

ah ok thanks yeh just found a few on ebay all seem to be 1/2 inch though
