would it be sacrelige to fit out a Wicked in "modern" kit ?? should i trawl e-bay and our site for those elusive bits - or bite the bullet and hang some new modern goodies on her ? ( I need wheels , shifters , handlebar , grips , stem , skewers , tyres , brakes etc etc etc etc

I'd be tempted to get what I could on her now and ride it..you can always get retro bits as you go along and save the pennies....

Agency_Scum's third way is my plan for the Dave Lloyd Cats Wiskas build.

A lovely old frame with mostly modern kit, but a retro feel.

I have some XC Pro thumbies so I'll start with them, but I also have some Forge thumbie mounts so can go to 9spd if I get some dura-ace levers...

Biggest issue is going to be the forks and the 1" headset - I'll try the RC35's that are on it but will be keeping an eye open for some suitable rigids (RC30's???)

I plan to enjoy riding, fettling, and looking at this wonderfull frame
