This virus situation really has given me new avenues to fill my time.
So my love of all things steampunk lead me to create these lamps.
They weigh a lot, but they really have helped me focus my mind and creativity.
Anyone else love steampunk ? And I’d love to see some more creations if anyone else has done anything like this.
I’m even going to sell these to fund new projects.
Jeff.

Those are great. And they'll look even better as they age and the copper/brass bits look more weathered.

These lamps look really great! Have you had any previous plumbing experience or you just started from scratch?

Have you somehow ensured electrical earthing also?

I taught myself basic plumbing, but seeing as these don’t pipe water, the joints don’t have to be watertight.
And yes, they are earthed.

i reckon you could put an actuator in the gauge and something like an arduinio to make them move.....

look nice though

Regarding the gauges I just got an idea that adding a gauge that acts as a analogue voltmeter would be awesome. Every time you turn the lamp on/off the voltmeter display changes.

Those are so cool. I built this one from an old dry rotted auto wheel image.jpg
This one is from an old Great Lakes Steamer. I electrified it. I should have written down the ship it came from because now I don‘t remember. image.jpg
This is our night light. I also electrified this Rail Road light. image.jpg
