I don't understand why this has been overlooked.
Fwiw vcballbat, I agree with you. Have you tried leaving a comment at the site in question? Or bump the thread on "Reader's(sic)Road Bikes"?

5 year Warranty on one of "their" frames, according to the web site

Every size of both bike and frame still available on the website.

Rather ironic that they are limited to 'one per customer'.

I don't think we need to keep on looking at incorrect seat tube decals as this has been highlighted.. what is needed is that this issue is resolved. Having spoken to two leading frame paint restoration specialists last week they both confimed they use H Lloyd as decal supplier. One of the company's had an original frame in Team Replica livery in the shop awaiting paint. On checking they confirmed the H Lloyd seat tube decals were incorrect. I asked whether they would inform the customer prior to paint so the customer can make the decision to continue. They were unable to give a yes or no answer and said the customer was informed that H Lloyd is the decal supplier. On speaking to H Lloyd last week they said their seat tube decal was from an old scan and had been slightly tweaked (it appears just the letter A has been altered) and that was that.
I think what is required is that all parties involved need to get together to resolve this issue. If a frame collector and expert in the SBDU has an original why can't this be offered to H Lloyd so it can be copied or scanned.. I'm not clued up on this process, but this would be to everyone's benefit.

Re:

If I'm understanding this issue with the seat tube transfers correctly, it strikes me that cutting the down tube transfer into individual letters, stacking them vertically, and changing them from white to yellow, might resolve it ? I'm not suggesting that as an economically rational course of action for frame refinishers, but it might be a good starting point for anyone seeking to rectify the transfer in question, or understand what might be wrong with the existing one?

I might be dead wrong. (I refer you to my second post on p.16.) Worth a try anyway. Someone with better computer chops than me could probably do it in five minutes and post it on this thread.

This may shed some light on the issue...From top to bottom photo:

Re:

Not much in it to be honest, any one of those fonts doesnt really improve or detract the style or quality of the frame.

One for the either the real concourse showmen or those on the spectrum to continue to debate the font. Not meaning to be offensive, but thats how I see it anyhow

That's a stunner, the original paint is in mint condition...has it ever been used in anger ?
Are you sure it's 82 as the SB frame number puts it at 79 ?

I apologise , my mistake. This track bike was a Team issue and the serial number is GS2821

I'm not trying to hi-jack this road bike thread. I hope that this photo help to clarify the decal discussion.
It's also a track bike from 1982, was constructed with Reynolds 531. SB5330
