Evening all ,

I’ve just rebuilt this set of sprint rims but I’m unsure of what make they coluld be?
They are -
36 spoke hole
No eyelets
Spoke nipples have washers
They had sticker residue in an oval shape
Came with these Normandy large flange hubs but not the skewers .
What do you think ?
Thanks scott .

Re:

Ok thanks , so there’s quite a few possibilities and I doubt I’ll be able to pin it down exactly .

We’re all of these rims you named produced with non eyelets ? and would I be correct to say non eyelets were produced before eyelets ?

These have no markings on the spindles or locknuts

I suppose they could be 60’s or 70’s ?

Constrictor made rims like these, accompanied by concave washers, without which the spoke nipples would crack the spoke holes.

Fiamme did make a cheaper rim without steel ferrules, but had a built in steel washer on the inner surface.

size of the old decal might be able to pin it down further by picture comparison.

BITD Ava rims were often built into Normandy or Suzue hubs as an economy set of wheels.
my first sprints, but they were Milremo hubs from memory, very similar to Normandys. that would have been around 1980

Somewhere I’ve got a pair of ava rims with decals so could measure if needed to compare.
