Any experience with Selle Bassano vuelta and Excalibur?

I remember the Vuelta from 1993/4. Sold a few when I worked at Halfords at that time. Owned one for a while similar to the one pictured. That was a solid steel rail with textured vinyl cover and foam padding, heavy and long (so probably the base model). Not the most comfortable of saddles as I recall...Though that could have been the result of wearing cycle shorts with a real chamois leather pad (not the most supportive / comfortable pad compared to modern ergonomic designs). Replaced with a Vetta SL Cro-Mo saddle in '96. Vuelta passed on to a friend who promptly tore it in an 'off' that winter.

I had the Vuelta model on a winter bike for a while; I found it comfortable enough and I'm reusing it for a current build. Also quite a nice looking saddle, in my opinion.
