Dirt Disciple
I have just acquired this Peugeot racer, think it is an 80s bike but not sure. Can anybody tell me anything about it? It is Reynolds 531 with campagnolo Mexico68 rims, campag mirage rear derailleur and front chain set and shimano rx 100 brakes.

Re:

Hi, the photos are not great , any chance of some better quality ? . Cant even make out of it is a lugged frame or even if its been resprayed as that colourway doesnt look familiar. It has a mid 90`s look about it but by then Peugeot were mainly knocking out cheap aluminium framed bikes at that equipment level. Do you know if it was a UK supplied bike as Peugeot made different models for every global market? .

Re:

Ok so that`s looking like a respray and non original forks. From the dropouts and cable guides under the top tube it`s probably something like a 531 Optimum model ( just google it for pictures) . Only the main triangle would be 531 and it is probably about 1991 -92 ( if you can make out a frame number the first number after the initial letter should be 1 or 2 ? ). Peugeot never put the Reynolds 531 transfers on the seat tube ( should be on the down tube above the lever bosses and the mid seat tube lion would not be facing inward like that ). It`s almost certainly a mix of components the person who built it up had knocking about so it wont identify as any specific model any more. Hope this helps.
