Good afternoon all,

Found these whilst looking for some other bits and I have not-a-clue what they are/do. I'm guessing they're road items.

Anyone enlighten/educate me ??

Thanks

Could these perhaps be used to install a specific type of bar ends?
On mountainbikes..?

That was my first though too, perhaps a version of these?

Re:

The bars in the pic are Profile Durangos which use a clamp with a flat 'step' to receive the bars, so not for those unfortunately.

Thanks, I was suggesting that is was for something of this type. I'm well aware what those ones are called unfortunately, I had a set on my Stumpjumper Comp in 1990 when i was trying to be like Ned.

The quill type connection was used on quite a few early bar ends, including the first Onzas, syncros, Control Tech and those Profile durangos. The items in question aren't for any of the aforementioned, but look to be for a similar purpose.

Same here! I didn't really like them though, and much preferred Scott AT4's

AT4 Were MUCH better, but they were HUGE! I went from the Durango’s to Scott AT2, I didn’t think I was going to use the aero tuck position offered by the AT4!

'when i was trying to be like Ned'

Flattery will get you anywhere! ;)

Many tried, few succeeded.
