My KONA EFS / Sintesi Bromont Fully (1992 - 1994?)

Re: KONA EFS / Sintesi Bromont Fully (1992 - 1994?)

Looks great together with the matching forks and stem. Why all the spacers? maybe a stem with rise? and you could use something like this for your cables, saves damaging the existing guides...

Re: KONA EFS / Sintesi Bromont Fully (1992 - 1994?)

Ah, cool idea. I had seen this before but forget about.

Regarding spacers: Yes, it looks crazy, but I need something higher for my back ;-)

So my be stem with rise and a handlebar with some additional cm hight. I hopped the DH3 will do the trick (compared to the XC700), but thats only 20mm more. Or may be some very different fork with more travel ...

Edit: Seems to be difficult to find something in red with a higher rise, may be some with 20°. I don't want it in black, that's so bääääh.

Re: KONA EFS / Sintesi Bromont Fully (1992 - 1994?)

O.k., I decided to try a little bit with effordable parts (not that special brands) :

- black handlebar with 30mm rise & 10° backsweep (a red handlebar is too much 'red') - much more rise is possible (see picture of the original 92' Sintesi Bromont bike)
- red stem 20° (I want to stay to a red stem)
- take the ugly black spacer out
- change the black Magura Evolution adapter into silver/grey (found 1 set, looking for another)
- red seat post
- I'd like to have a red Marzocchi Brake Booster instead of the silver one used in XC700 and DH3, but I have never seen one in real

Pictures will follow after next test mount. In the meantime I will do the Shimano parts :)

Yes! The original handlebar in the Sintesi Bromont Bike had also one, with a big rise. Thanks for the Ebay Link!

I like that.

Here is my blue and black - the frame was annodised. Storage had been kind and the colours stayed fresh

What is your rear damper? A Marzocchi A0033?
Did you manage to service it?

Did you adjust the pressure? To what level?

I think someone send me the manual for this shock (A0033), but I can't remember where it is #!**#*# :-/
